co2 tanks
most common sizes are 5, 10 & 20lb tanks. consider your consumption rate and where you are going to store the tank. more tips(1)

- you need to also consider how you are going to run your co2 hose adapter from the tank to the carbonator. also consider the tank material(1), valve type(2) and local availability for refilling(3). more safety tips(4)
- typically aluminum or steel. check for DOT approved.
- look for a cga320 valve
- check out local beverage centers, home brew supply stores, i went to airgas
- store in a cool, dry place. consult a specialist for advice. handle with care.

instructions
don't use excessive force when fitting the CarbLift together
please note that the CarbLift is made of plastic and may break if excessive force is used. It has been tested extensively, and if you handle it with care, you only need to gently slide the connectors together. and probably only once.
CarbLift compatibility
the CarbLift is designed for use with aarke carbonator pro only. it may not fit other brands or models of carbonators.
you do not need to remove the hose if it is already connected
ff an external co2 hose is already connected to the carbonator, you can leave it in place while assembling the CarbLift. this will save time and reduce the risk of damaging the connectors by repeatedly attaching and detaching the hose.
simply assemble the CarbLift with the hose in the middle. when setting the aarke carbonator pro on top of the CarbLift, align the hose with the access cutout on the bottom-back of the CarbLift before placing it on the counter.
keep your fingers close to the connectors
when sliding the connectors together, keep your fingers close to the seams. This helps prevent applying excessive force at non-planar angles, which could snap the connection points.

align the connectors
each CarbLift piece has a male and female connector on the bottom. align these connectors like puzzle pieces.
the connector groove is on the flat bottom of the CarbLift and the exposed curved top doesn't show the connector wedge.

fit the connectors together
use steady, firm pressure
apply steady, firm pressure when fitting the connectors together to avoid damaging the plastic components. Handle with care to ensure a secure fit without using excessive force.
alternate pressing either side
when fitting the connectors together, alternate pressing on either side of the connector to ensure an even and secure fit. this helps to avoid applying too much pressure on one side, which could potentially damage the plastic components.
apply back pressure while pushing the male connector until it is securely seated in the groove.

fit the hose through the back groove
it doesn't need to be perfectly aligned and can be adjusted after placing the aarke carbonator pro on the countertop.
get some extra hands if you need it
there are plenty of moving parts here. after dozens of tests the process has almost become second nature to me but early on it was a group effort.
